Packing and Postage:
The Shopping Cart automatically calculates the Shipping Charges for all locations. UK Mainland Delivery charge (excl Highlands and Islands) is £10.00 per delivery address whatever the size of the order. Minimum order £22.50 excl carriage. For all addresses outside this area or overseas a carriage charge will be shown on screen before you send your order. The majority of our products are available for overseas delivery.
Lowna Dairy Ltd will not be held responsible if local Customs authorities wish to charge import duty or delay the release of any item.
Payment
Payment must be received by us before an order can be processed. We accept payment by a cheque drawn in sterling on a UK bank or by Visa or MasterCard credit cards. In the event that any payment is subsequently dishonoured any amount due will be chargeable to interest at the rate of 4% per annum over the base rate of National Westminster Bank PLC appertaining at the date on which payment falls due notwithstanding that such claims to interest and/or to surcharges for non-payment may have been waived by us in the past. We reserve the right to re-impose without notice any discount that may have been allowed if payment is not made in full by the due date. All costs including legal fees incurred by us in collection of amounts due or in enforcing under the clause below will be payable by the customer.
Prices
Prices quoted are by weight or by unit as appropriate and include all taxes applicable to sales in the United Kingdom. The company makes a charge for delivery which is specified on our Order Form and on our web site. The company reserves the right to alter any prices or specifications at any time without notice and all goods are sold subject to prices ruling at the date of despatch. Subject to the above, customers will be notified if the price to be charged is different from the published price and will be given the option of cancelling their order without penalty.
Risk
Risk of damage or deterioration to the goods supplied passes to the buyer on delivery or on collection from our premises if sold ex warehouse or, in the event of goods being held in storage, on issue of invoice. No claim for damage or deterioration can be accepted after delivery. Pending payment of the full price for the goods the buyer will insure the same in a UK office repute in a sum not less than their invoice price. The buyer declares that it holds any insurance proceeds on trust to pay the same to Lowna Dairy Ltd up to the amount of the invoice price of the goods supplied.
Delivery
If goods have not been received within 2 days of the anticipated delivery date, please notify this company in writing. Any delay in despatch and/or delivery for whatsoever reason shall not be ground for a claim for consequential loss.
Pilferage and Damage
We can only accept claims for pilferage or damage if written notification is given to both the carriers and ourselves within three days of receipt of goods. If delivery is made by carriers please always sign for the goods "Unexamined" and retain the outer wrappings for examination by the carrier. If delivery is made on our own transport, the consignment should be checked and signed for accordingly.
Quotations
All quotations given by this company are subject to market fluctuations etc and are made without engagement.
Contract terms
We shall supply goods only on the condition that these terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between ourselves and our customers and these conditions supersede any prior agreement or arrangement.
Variations of Terms and Conditions
No variation may be made to these terms & conditions unless agreed in writing by a Director of Lowna Dairy Ltd. Orders placed by customers shall be only on the basis that our customers acknowledge that they are not relying on any representation regarding goods supplied other than as may be in writing and signed by a Director on behalf of Lowna Dairy Ltd.
